The company has officially started to operate in 2004, following its founder’s vision of Anastasios Pappas. The 13 organic fertilizers provided by THEOFRASTOS, have been finalized in the early ’90s. In 1994 started the first experimental applications for different crops, in the areas of Korinthos, Crete and slowly extended in the rest of the country.

Fertilizers of THEOFRASTOS applied and tested in several crops like seasonal vegetables, fruit trees, table grapes, pomegranates, strawberries etc, in different geographical areas and soils, in collaboration with the National Agricultural Research Foundation (now ELGO-Dimitra), The Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki and in the past with WYE College, University of London. This plan resulted in the development of specific cultivation protocols by THEOFRASTOS, covering most of the major crops, aiming to secure the highest production and quality of products.

The preparation of the Organic Liquid Fertilizers of THEOFRASTOS follows the highest European standards and the raw materials used are originated from countries of European Union (U.K., France, Germany and Austria). The Organic Liquid Fertilizers of THEOFRASTOS are mainly based on organic edible raw materials and plant extracts, resulting to a full supplement of plants with amino acids, vitamins, sugars and macro-microelements. This combination achieves to an early-harvesting period, the highest production & quality of products; in addition, it was experimentally found an exceptional strengthening of plants, which become more resistant to cold and UV-sunburns.

The products of THEOFRASTOS are focusing on the highest growth of plants, by strengthening their defence mechanisms and increasing photosynthesis and respiration.
